This week I think I set the record for personal time spent on a 20 Time project. I should probably now call it a 50 Time project. I am feeling frustrated and sad that the assignment is almost over. I am also finally accepting the fact that I am not going to master Photoshop this summer. Those who advised me to choose something very "specific" to work on in Photoshop were absolutely correct. There are so many elements to this software, I've barely begun to scratch the surface in 5 weeks. Looking back I really should have spent the first 2 weeks learning the very basics and mastering the simpler skills and tools that create a foundation for using Photoshop. I know myself and I just got too excited about all the fancy, groovy, complicated art I was seeing out there when doing my research. Also, Professor Heil was absolutely correct when he told us that an hour should feel like 5 minutes. An hour flies by when trying to do a project on Photoshop. I know none of my products turned out like much, but each one took several hours! I could not carve out enough time in a week to learn as much as I wanted to for this project. I hope that I continue to make time for myself (since I now have a 1 year educator subscription)!
This week I wanted to keep doing work with portraits and I so I decided to try my hand in adding text to photographs. I used a youtube tutorial and like each week, I watched the whole video and then played it again, pausing and rewinding until I got the desired effect.
